      Hi Kevin,
I do not currently have any puppies. I will be planning another litter in 2018. I can put you on my puppy list and contact you when I will have pups.
What size Peruvian are you looking for? Do you have a preference of male or female?
      Be gentle,
      Shannon

I would like make an appointment to come see your beautiful hairless dogs. I am looking to purchase a female, standard size puppy. I am trying to decide between a Peruvian and a Xolo. I would greatly appreciate the chance to see your dogs in person to help me make my decision. I have Mondays and Tuesdays off. I live in Modesto.

Between my daughter and me, we have several of Shannon’s Viringos. Stellar temperaments and family raised, we are completely in live with this breed. We also have Borzoi and a Toy Xolo, and they manage to to live harmoniously. Their play styles are very different, but they make it work. Thanks to Shannon and her family for our special kids.

Awe, you are very sweet. You are the best when it comes to puppy homes! Love you all.

We live in Los Angeles and have two boys ages 6 and 8. How are these dogs with kids? We are looking for a family dog that can handle high energy kids. No other pets, and my husband is allergic to dogs which is why we are looking for a hypoallergenic dog. I would prefer a female. We are not in a rush to get a dog but I did see you will not have puppies until 2018? Thanks in advance.

      Hi Meredith,

You sound like a wonderful home for a Peruvian. Although I may not have pups for another 9-12 months, I am in contact with the other ethical breeders in the US. There is a good chance of a litter coming up that will have pups ready in the fall. Peruvians are very rare and to get a quality pup bred in the US you could end up waiting a while. I can also refer you to a breeder in Peru if that might interest you. You are always welcome to call me too, we can chat by phone to find out what might suit your family best.

      Be gentle,
      Shannon

Thank you for your response, Shannon. 9-12 months might be perfect, because we are going to slowly work toward the idea of a dog and next spring/summer might be perfect.

If possible, we’d prefer to have a girl (i am SO outnumbered, lol). What is the difference (if any) in temperament between the girls and boys in this breed?

I will give you a call sometime this week to discuss.

        Thanks again!

I’ve been researching dogs for awhile and I am in love with this breed. It seems they are pretty hard to find though! We live in MA and wouldn’t be looking to get a puppy until next year. Are you in CA? We would definitely come out to get him or her if it worked out!! We have two boys who are almost 9 and 7 and no other pets. I would love to be added to a contact list to let me know whenever you have puppies ready. Thank you!

We are in love with our rescue Xolo and are looking to add another hairless dog to our home in the next year or so. I haven’t been able to find much info on the difference between Xolo and PIO temperaments. Any insight here? We live near Sacramento and would love to be on your mailing list for possible puppies in the future. Thank you!

      Hi Christina,

I apologize for the delay in my reply. I think the Peruvians are a little calmer than the Xolos. Since you are so close, you should come meet the crew. You are welcome anytime. I will for sure put you on the puppy list.

Thanks for getting back to me! We will be in Galt for a baseball tournament this weekend. Would you be available on Saturday sometime? If not, another weekend would be fine too. Again, thanks!
